December 2019: A Half-Assed Update

This isn’t even half-assed, maybe quarter-assed at best.

I come to you on the last day of 2019, hands clasped, ready to beg for forgiveness: I’m sorry for not posting this month.

Sure, I could bore you with my excuses–it’s been cold, I’ve been inside, I’ve been busy, I’ve been playing video games, etc. etc. The truth is I’ve just been lazy. I meant to do a cafe review this month, several in fact. But each time I readied myself for it, something came up.

Should I promise to do it next month? New year, new me? I’m wary of doing that, now.

But I will try to do better. I have so many posts I want to make. I’m itching to drag out my camera and to make more art. As it is, I’ve been feverishly replaying the Mass Effect trilogy, reading and writing fic for it, so my creative efforts have poured into that. But I can multitask, right?

Anyway, let’s get to the update. How was this month? Fine. I’ve been off social media because, brace yourself, Rise of Skywalker doesn’t come out in Korea until Jan 8th.

That’s right, I’m having to wait 2.5 extra weeks to see this damn movie. I’m not happy about it, but at least in efforts to protect myself from spoilers (it’s going well, btw, I’ve only seen one, maybe two), I’ve doing a ~social media detox~.

I’ve been rock-climbing. I also had mulled wine with those friends the other night, which was so fun and therapeutic and something I didn’t know I needed. We’re getting tattoos together next week–not matching ones, just our own ideas.

I also finished the Witcher, which I thought was good. Not great, but has potential.

What’s the point of this update, again? Not sure. Honestly, November and December have blended together, so just read my November update to get a sense of the places I’ve gone. Literally, from Christmas Eve I did the exact same stuff I did on Thanksgiving.

Hope you’re having a great New Years, and stay safe!
